About This Meta Checker

This tool fetches your page and previews how its title and meta description might display on Google. We estimate pixel width (not just characters) and provide desktop & mobile views so you can check truncation risk fast.

Why Pixel Width Matters

Google truncates by available pixels, not raw characters. Wide glyphs (W, M, emojis) consume more space than narrow ones (i, l). Measuring pixels gives you a much closer feel for real SERP display.

FAQ

Does Google always use my meta description?

Not always. Google can rewrite snippets based on the query, but a relevant description increases the chance yours is shown.

Is character count enough?

No—pixel width is a better proxy because different characters take different space. This tool shows both.

Should I include my brand in the title?

Usually yes, at the end. If brand recognition is the main draw, you can lead with it.

Will emojis show correctly?

They can, but they’re wide and may hurt clarity or cause truncation. Use sparingly.
