Your Role:
As a Staff Accountant, you will:
- Be responsible for the production of the monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements for our accounting clients. This includes, entering and importing financial data, bank reconciliations, processing payroll entries and other month-end accounting activities. Other responsibilities include maintaining fix assets, assist in tax return prep during busy season, and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Report to the lead resource estimator in Perth and prepare work orders for maintenance activities.
- Review maintenance requests and develop detailed work orders.
- Locate and annotate required engineering drawings (P&IDs, Isometrics, Data Sheets).
- Estimate labor and material requirements for each task.
- Define job steps necessary for task execution.
- Identify necessary tools and equipment.
- Raise Engineering Queries (EQs) when required.
- Obtain quotations from third-party contractors and suppliers.
- Compile all relevant information into a standardized work pack.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including cash & tax basis accounting
- Willingness to work on a night shift
- Knowledge of accounting software, QuickBooks Online (Accounting CS a plus)
- Strong Excel skills required – ability to create formulas, set up and manipulate spreadsheets, use macros and VLOOKUP
